Oh "brother"

And then I read the touchy feely article about the Old Nogales Colonia and Supervisor Valadez in the Currents.

Oh "brother " again.

That is not the only part of the designated Old Nogales Colonia.

Those people should feel used.

2 and half years ago (January 2006) the Tucson Citizen wrote an article about the issues in that neighborhood and Mr. Valadez was quoted as saying

" It (The Colonia) didn't happen today, it didn't happen yesterday", he said. It's been many years in the making, and its going to take many many years to resolve.

So, what's shaking eh?

Well, so now, just a bit before the Primary election there is this story in the Weekly.

What about the Moly plant in the Old Nogales Colonia that would potentially be used by the proposed Rosemont mine for roasting its Moly? What about the other Colonias that would be affected by the proposed Rosemont Mine with water issues? hmmmm?

Mr. Robuck spoken about the Colonias in this area (not just this one) in the past 6 months in front of the BOS. I spoke of them at a BOS on July 1st. I feel very used now because I received call from another district (not mine) asking for information on this stuff for the Forest EIS. I am going to think positive thoughts and believe it was just a coincidence.

I have been speaking of Environmental Justice issues related to the Rosemont Mine in my scoping questions since theprocess was opened in March by the CNF.

The article this week is a shameless attempt to garner votes for a non-responsive Supervisor and I hope people will see through the ruse.

Jennifer Eckstrom said in the article:

"I’m certain if my brother was mayor and working for Ramon, this would not be an issue.”

Now that she has brought up the issue . . . WHERE DOES HER BROTHER WORK??? The answer . . PIMA COUNTY, where he makes a very good salary. Where does their UNCLE work--- again for PIMA COUNTY as the Director of the Community Services Department.

So lets recap . . Former Supervisor Dan Eckstrom's SON AND DAUGHTER AND BROTHER ALL WORK FOR PIMA COUNTY. Together the make a combined total of over $250,000.00 per year. THESE FIGURES CAN ALL BE VERIFIED > > > Only if you care to check!!
